DrainageMarketing.ca exists for one kind of company: a drainage or hydro-excavation business that wants more of its revenue on contract. We help owners decide which commercial buyer to pursue, write the documents that buyer checks, and run the outreach and follow-up that turns a first meeting into a renewing agreement. Our services page explains each piece; this page explains who we are.
The company
DrainageMarketing.ca is a digital marketing and business consulting service for commercial drainage companies in Canada. It belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, it is Canadian, and it is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia.
- Sedighi.ca is Ali Sedighi's growth, marketing and technology consulting company. Its family of brands takes in Trades.Agency, whose plans we use, alongside HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca.
- SAZ.ca, short for Strategy & Acceleration Zone, handles the group's strategy, AI and revenue-acceleration consulting in Canada; Ali is its founder and Managing Partner, and Sedighi.ca sets its strategic direction.
DrainageMarketing.ca sits in the Trades.Agency family, which is why our plans and terms match Trades.Agency's published pricing.
What we are not
We are not a contractor. We don't jet lines, pump interceptors, operate vac trucks, inspect sewers or dig. We don't subcontract that work, refer it for a fee, or bid against clients.
We also don't provide engineering, legal, insurance, safety or code-compliance advice. When a page mentions a municipal bylaw or a provincial body, we link the official source and tell readers to confirm with it. We never tell a strata council what the law requires of it, or a restaurant what its bylaw obliges it to do.
Ali Sedighi, MBA
Ali Sedighi leads DrainageMarketing.ca. The facts:
- MBA in Technology Management.
- 17+ years of experience. The count begins in 2007 with ONE.ir, the full-service digital marketing agency he started that year.
- Founder of two further businesses: Conv.ca (conversion-rate optimisation) and MyAutomation.ca.
- 150+ live HVAC websites built. Among them are gasboilers.ca, hvacdeal.ca, boilerpart.ca, combiboiler.ca and romaheating.ca.
- Clients in Canada, the USA and Dubai.
- He lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Ali's background is in building marketing systems for trade businesses whose customers are demanding and whose jobs are expensive to get wrong. The HVAC work is where the published results come from, and we label them as results from our HVAC work wherever they appear; see the results page.
How we work
Five habits shape every engagement:
- Start from invoices, not opinions. Your last year of revenue by customer type tells us which buyer to chase first.
- One buyer at a time. A plan aimed at property managers, restaurant groups and civil contractors all at once usually reaches none of them well.
- Documents before outreach. A capability statement and an offer page come first, because every serious buyer asks for them.
- Outreach within the law. Commercial email and texts follow Canada's anti-spam rules on consent, identification and unsubscribing. We record the consent basis for each contact.
- Measure contracts, not clicks. Monthly reports focus on conversations with signers, site walks, bid invitations, agreements and renewals.
Who owns what
Your website, domain, Google Business Profile, ad accounts, CRM and contact lists should be in your company's name. That's how we set things up, and it means you keep everything if you ever stop working with us. If we inherit accounts held by a previous supplier, recovering ownership is one of the first jobs.
Honest limits
We don't have published drainage case studies yet. When we do, they'll appear only with the client's written permission for their name, link and each number. Until then, we show what the method achieved in HVAC and explain what transfers. We won't promise you contracts, rankings or a number of leads. We will promise a clear plan, written costs and straight reporting.
Talk to us
Consultations are online by video call or in person, and you can also reach us by phone, text or email: (604) 632-4959 or Ali@Sedighi.ca. A short text is welcome. See the pricing page for plans and the contact page for what to include in your first message.
Frequently asked questions
Who will we actually work with?
Ali Sedighi leads the strategy on every engagement. Who carries out each deliverable is set out in your written proposal, so you know before you sign who does what.
Why a separate site just for commercial drainage?
Because the buyer is different. Selling a service agreement to a strata manager or a facility manager has almost nothing in common with capturing an emergency call from a homeowner, and mixing the two produces weak marketing for both.
Are you a drainage contractor?
No. We don't do drainage, sewer, interceptor or excavation work, and we never compete with clients for jobs. We market and advise the companies that do the work.
Where are you based?
Vancouver, British Columbia. We work with clients across Canada and meet in person or by video call.
